“Join us for an author visit with Fay Martin as she presents her debut book, Dementia Widow: A Memoir about Love, Death, and Survival.
When: Thursday, October 15 | 6:30-8:00pm
Where: Friends Program Room
Fay Martin spent fifteen years caring for her late husband as dementia reshaped their lives. Dementia Widow discusses spousal caregiving and the wide-ranging experiences of love, loss, exhaustion, guilt, etc. that it can entail. Fay's memoir offers comfort to caregivers and insight to those who support them, and her presentations provide practical guidance on topics such as how to take control of dementia, what caregiving entails, and the grieving process, all with just enough humour to make the unbearable bearable.
